Jean-Michel Zakhour
Founding Partner & Strategic Chair
Jean-Michel Zakhour is the Founding Partner and Strategic Chair of Summum Advisory Group. He leads the firm’s strategic direction and provides senior oversight on all client mandates, ensuring every engagement is grounded in integrity, precision, and excellence. He personally steers complex negotiations and maintains key client relationships, bringing clarity and confidence to critical decision-making.
Since 2014, he has spearheaded the development of a leading M&A advisory practice, building a respected track record of successful mid-market transactions across North America. With deep-rooted experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing high-stakes deals, he is widely recognized for his business acumen, sharp judgment, and relentless focus on results.
Earlier in his career, Jean-Michel held executive leadership roles in banking, including oversight of a $4B commercial credit portfolio. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Financial Management from HEC Montréal.
Today, he brings this combined experience to bear in leading Summum with strategic vision and unwavering commitment to client success.
Nizar Loukil
Managing Partner
Nizar Loukil leads Summum’s execution and operations, bringing a meticulous approach to every transaction. A seasoned dealmaker with a reputation for precision and accuracy, his rigorous execution standards are embedded in the firm’s culture and evident across all mandates. From structuring and due diligence to closing, Nizar ensures each engagement is delivered with the highest level of professionalism.
With over 15 years in banking, including oversight of portfolios exceeding $2B, and more than two decades as a corporate finance lecturer at HEC Montréal, Nizar combines practical expertise with analytical depth. He has led numerous successful M&A transactions, earning the trust of clients who value clarity, discipline, and results.
His leadership reinforces the firm’s reputation for integrity and operational excellence. Always focused on optimal outcomes for clients.
Olivier Romain
Managing Director
With hands-on experience as a business operator and former shareholder of a 40+ employee firm, Olivier brings empathy and strategic thinking to every client interaction.
His business acumen is matched by a meticulous approach and a deep understanding of operational challenges, making him a powerful advocate in any transaction. Known for his intelligence, precision, and personable nature, Olivier is both a fierce negotiator and a trusted advisor.
He holds a Law degree from Université Laval and an MBA from Concordia University, blending legal insight with financial strategy to expertly guide clients through complex transitions.
